Grilling Up Flavor with Chef Mike
Dear Chef Mike,
I’m lacking in the inspiration department. What are simple ways to amp up the flavor of my meals when grilling?

Dear Missing the Mojo,
Marinades and rubs are fantastic for transforming meats and veggies. Not only are they incredibly flavorful, but they’re also budget-friendly, making even the lower priced cuts of meat juicy and delicious. Check out some of my favorite marinades and rubs below, along with the dishes I use them with.
Kroger Brand Nashville Hot Chicken Style Seasoning
I like to apply this to my chicken and let it sit for about 30 minutes before grilling. After I grill, I reapply the rub to the cooked chicken to up the spice and create those layers of flavor.
Private Selection™ Moroccan Inspired Harissa Seasoning Blend
With a little olive oil, this is a great marinade for pork loin, steak or chicken. You get that sweet heat from the harissa that really blooms with the warm North African spices.
Simple Truth Organic™ Asian Style Sesame Vinaigrette
This is cool because you can use it as a marinade for any type of meat, or use it to jazz up a side item, like mixed greens or roasted broccoli. I recently used this for a cauliflower steak that came out tender and delicious.
