  Boar’s Head® Serrano Ham is an authentic Spanish Ham imported directly from Spain, where it is crafted according to time-honored traditional Spanish methods. It’s made from pigs that feed on acorns, giving the final product a deep reddish color. The pork is then salt-cured for at least 12 months in a dry environment which intensifies the flavor and saltiness. Although similar to Italian prosciutto, Serrano Ham is aged longer, has more fat marbling, and has a drier and saltier flavor, making it better for chopping and cooking or pairing with mellow flavors like fruit or salad greens.
