Product Details
Founded in 1858 by Camilo Hurtado de Amezaga, Marques de Riscal is the oldest wineries in one of the oldest wineries in la Rioja, the Spanish wine-growing region par excellence. Marques de Riscal's history is based on two fundamental values: tradition and innovation. These two concepts have allowed exceptional levels of quality, making its wines something unique. Today, Marques de Riscal continues to offer products of the highest quality, with organoleptic properties that transport the wine-lover to a world of intense sensations, now captured in the City of Wine project, a unique place to be enjoyed with all the senses and that puts the brand at the cutting edge of the market.
Intense black-cherry color with good depth of color and hardly any signs of evolution. Very expressive aromas on the nose with notes of liquorice, cinnamon and black pepper, with just a subtle hint of the long cask-ageing, thanks to its great complexity and ripe, concentrated fruit. Fresh and easy to drink on the palate, good backbone and lovely, polished tannins. The long, persistent finish leaves gentle balsamic reminders of the finest quality
