Rockaway Spanish Coffee

A favorite in the Pacific Northwest, this warming festive drink is a show-stopper!


  • 1⁄4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 1⁄2 ounce triple sec
  • 1 ounce rum
  • 1⁄2 ounce cinnamon liqueur
  • 5 ounces hot coffee, try Kivu Sumatra


  • Prepare in an 8 ounce stemmed glass. First put lime juice on a small plate. On a second plate, add sugar. Dip rim of glass in lime juice, then in sugar. Pour in Triple Sec, rum, cinnamon liqueur and coffee. Top with fresh whipped cream. Grate nutmeg on top and add a dash of cinnamon. Insert a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
